As the title says The Everlasting Trio have a child and his name is John “Hellblazer” Constantine

He’s making his parents proud

John was born of a kind of soul blood pact between the three, he got his blonde hair from Sam, his eyes from Tucker, and his overall appearance is a mix of the three of them

John grew up to follow in Tucker & Sam’s footsteps of magic, he’s a born sorcerer unlike them though

His relationship with his parents is generally good, but because of how he treats his soul his relationship with Danny has deteriorated

They argue about this alot, John’s soul is his own and what he does with it really isn’t any of Danny’s business, Danny has the concerned parent vibes of the parent of a sex worker, their fears are founded but they need to trust their kid to know how to take care of themselves

John hates visiting home because of it, Dani will sometimes drag him back home for holidays but he doesn’t stay long

Sam & Tucker try to get them to get along but it isn’t really working

Then one day Danny gets accidentally summoned by the Justice League

John doesn’t recognize the summoning circle as it buzzes to life, he doesn’t know what type of creature or being will pop out. If they’re good or bad, or even merciful but he knows they’re strong from the intricate design or the circle. So he recklessly jumps forward, pushing Hal out of the binding circle so the Lantern isn’t bound to the summoned being.

John takes the binding with a scream of pain, feeling electricity shoot up his spine.

He can hear the Leaguers shouting his name, he’s vaguely aware of Jordan supporting him. But what he hears clearest was the voice of a man he most despised in the world at the moment.

“Really John? You didn’t have to do that, he would have been fine.”

John closes his eyes tight and breaths deep, he looks up to the voice and looks into the toxic green eyes as they met his own brown ones.

“Good to see you too Father.”

The green eyed being rolls his eyes and crosses his arms, “Yes, hello Son. It’s great to see you again as well.”

The League had only heard a few things about John Constantine’s family. They knew he had three parents who’re polyamouros, that he has an older sister and an aunt. Besides that all they have are silent grumblings about “Father won’t like this” when he does something risky.

But to see a young filipino man probably no older than twenty, floating over John “Hellblazer” Constantine and looking down on him like a disappointed parent. It was jarring.

Wonder Woman was the first to say anything “John, could you perhaps explain what just happened?”

John and his father broke their intense eye contact to look at Diana, who barely flinched at the sudden attention, the others behind her weren’t so fearless.

Constantine sighed carefully stepping away from Hal, “This is my Father.”

Hal snorted, “Yeah we got that man.”

“Yes John, introduce me to your friends here.”

Danny is generally snarky when meeting the League, he makes some weird comments about John hanging out with superheroes, that could be construed as rude

The others are kinda pestering John about who his dad even is, while John is more focused on getting the fucking bind removed

He eventually has to ask Zatanna for help

Danny for the most part is hanging out with the League while John’s working

Someone calls him Mr.Constantine and Danny quickly corrects them saying that isn’t his last name

Which sparks a whole conversation of John’s last name, which Danny isn’t about to say cause real names have power and such

Danny sees John working closely with Zatanna and asks if he’s with her or not, John is beyond embarrassed and even worse is when Danny brings up King Shark, mentioning that Dani really liked him too

John snarks back that then King Shark should have just gone for her instead of him since Danny was so adamant about King Shark being such a great son-in-law

Things get awkward quick as the two snark back at each other while everyone else realizes where John gets it from

It almost becomes a screaming match before the League has to break it up before they go to far

John ends up just calling Sam & Tucker so they can just break the binding

It’s a tense few minutes before they get there, and the League just kinda has to sit there as father & son fume not looking at each other

When Tucker & Sam get there they see the two not wanting to talk to each other at all

Leaguers are not reeling at seeing John’s other parents who he also vaguely looks like but also not

As the two work on the binding John & Danny are being passive aggressive

The two decide that John & Danny need to spend some time together to get this shit figured out

Tucker : You two have been fighting for far to long, you’ve probably forgotten why Danny : I know exactly why, it’s because John doesn’t know how to treat his soul right! John : By The Ancients! You’re still on about that Danny : Of course! Sam : Will you both just SHUT UP! *Silence* Sam : We’re not breaking the binding, you two are going to stay stuck together Danny : Sammy! So I read Barbarities because it was mentioned in a tag that one of the main characters was a little bit like Olruggio. And yeah kinda but also the series itself was pretty nice and the characters interesting.

But looking on Twitter for more fanart led to learning:

A) Shirahama made a post congratulating the release of the final volume of the manga, meaning SHE READ THIS SERIES?! (Characters fuck in this series!) and even drew a little fanart of the main characters Joel and Adam

And B) the Barbarities mangaka Suzuki Tsuta DREW QIFREY AND OLRUGGIO?! And even gave Olruggio the same triangle-style frown as Joel, her Olruggio-like character?!

Starting off the 2024 season with Keiki because I've been thinking about her a lot lately

Artist's Note:

I decided to experiment a little more with my rendering style via using a more traditional approach to drawing in the shadows. I like how much texture this piece has as a result, my friend told me it looks like something out of a storybook and that was the look I was inspired by so I'm glad it turned out that way.

Also, when it came to doing the front view of the nose, I just went "fuck it" and made it a dot because why learn anatomy when you can just default to what 5 year old you did when drawing faces?

I also had an idea of how to draw Keiki's dress as that has always been something I've struggled with since it's kinda confusing to draw lol. I also gave Keiki some earrings in the shape of a kofun tomb because we need more Keiki with earrings (I could have also taken from IRL but I'll save that for when I draw Keiki next). Speaking of Kofun tombs, I made the thing she's laying down on the shape of a Kofun tomb, because this is also kind of a redraw of some old Keiki fanart from 2021 that I will show right here.

I liked the concept of it (i.e. Keiki in the middle of a Kofun keyhole with the fire thing she has surrounding her) so I decided to try at that concept again just for fun. Back then I was very adamant on staying as close to canon as possible, but now I'm a lot more lenient with how I draw the characters. The pose in the 2021 drawing was inspired by that one Shinra-Bansho records MV where Keiki showed up for 5 seconds and the rest of it was Yachie but yeah. Also I always thought Keiki's apron was a dark green BUT NO IT WAS JUST A DARK SHADE OF FUCKING TEAL ZUN WHAT IS THE COLOUR THEORY BULLSHIT YOU HAVE CONFUSED ME FOR SO LONG-

anyways, I would say this is a pretty strong start to 2024 art wise, I'm gonna keep experimenting with this new rendering style because I like it a lot!

Big fucking spoilers babe

Okay I need to dump. I’m actually gagged Rosie is holding alastors leash. Like GAGGED! I would have never guessed in a million years. Rosie x alastor friendship has been popular in the fandom, ive seen it in so many fics and fanarts. Although when i first watched the series i thought the relationship between them was more of a friendship of convenience and mutual interest (cannibalism, power, murder) more than it was that they actually enjoyed each others company. That being said i still would have never guessed she was such an important character. Now that im over the initial shock lol, im pleasantly surprised.

Alastors backstory. First of all the way it’s presented to us; Alastor going to ask a favor from Rosie and being bitchy about it; is *chefs kiss*. I can’t tell you how much I love seeing this side of al. He’s vulnerable in a way I didn’t expect to see but also stays true to himself trying to smooze or intimidate to get what he wants. Love that for him! I loved his human version. Idc what ppl say about the mustache, *captain holt voice* “that mustache was ERA APPROPRIATE!!”

Oh no, he’s hot! Maybe it’s just cuz his voice doesn’t have the staticy overtone anymore (or maybe it’s cuz he just sounds angry) but his voice is HOT. Human al is a maniacal hottie and I will not apologize for saying it!!!

When Rosie laughs about him getting shot and killed the day after making their bond, and he goes “oh hahahahHaHHAHAHAHAHA! Yesssss… SO! funny…” all sarcastically???? Babe… I’m done. His character is so naturally hilarious they don’t even have to do too much with him.

I’m so excited to see more Vox this season. I love him deerly (haha… ha?) Him absolutely trashing the hotel and making Charlie’s life hell is a great plot point and I honestly want to see it the most. Besides a few quick glimpses of him, there was a storyboard with al and angel dust tied up, apparently Vox kidnapped them. 🥵 girl I’m too twisted to think normally about that. I’ll just leave that one alone….

All the scenes of heaven made me SO MAD!! I hate them fr. Tbh it’s such a great and intelligent commentary on our society and how we treat people we deem worthy/unworthy, (An arbitrary concept that is based in opinion not fact) and how we often let our emotions get the better of us. The way they immediately assume sir pentious forced his way into heaven, that it’s a “trick”. They refuse to acknowledge or even consider that their way of thinking, the things they have been doing, the beliefs they’ve based their society on, might be wrong. They would rather make it almost impossible for new souls (worthy or not) to enter heaven out of fear. Fear that the people they’ve oppressed and abused might fight back, and fear that there actually might be consequences to their actions (if one can be redeemed, than it would be right to assume one can also fall (they even have an example that this is already true, Lucifer!)). It’s disgusting to watch them act this way, but only because it’s so REAL! This is really how people are and it just confirms the theory that the people in heaven aren’t that different than those in hell.

I think all this backs my personal theory that people don’t end up in heaven or hell because of what they’ve done in life, but instead they end up where they THINK they belong. Sir pentious went to hell because he never forgave himself for not coming forward when he should have; for not saving people when he had the chance. So when he did have the chance to save his friends, and he acted on it selflessly, he in his mind believed he had atoned for his past mistakes. Therefore! Landing him in heaven, redeemed.

Further solidifying my theory, he hates it in heaven! I fully believe people end up in hell most of the time simply because they would have more fun there than in heaven! Heaven lowkey sucks. Having to hangout with LUTE? Or stupid fucking ADAM?? Yeah, no, fuck them! Heaven might be nice, but no drugs? No porn? Yeah I’d perfer hell too 😅🤭

Lucifer being a guest at the hotel is also an interesting addition I didn’t expect. The dynamic of the show seems much different than the first season, definitely more intense imo. Didn’t see much or any of angel or husk, (I think there’s a leaked Angel song somewhere but I haven’t found it yet) although I caught a glimpse of cherri bomb curled next to Angel on the couch and I’m really hoping that means we get to see more of her!

"Always wanted to do this," Steve pants, hands digging in hard under the bend of Bucky's knee, the meat of his thigh, grip effortless but bruising. "Wanted to - nnn - wanted to pick you up, move you around."

"Steve," Bucky sighs happily.

"Yeah," Steve coos, kissing him, hips working. "You like it?"

Bucky whines and nods a little, the edges of his mouth curling up. "It-it's bigger," he says breathlessly. "So different."

Bucky's eyes go wide with wonder for a second, then heavy lidded again as he grins and kisses him passionately. "Prove it to me," he whispers, "Show me how many times."

Steve groans and grinds hard against him. "You're hurt," he protests. "You need to rest, need to - "

"Need you to fuck me with this big new body a' yours," Bucky insists, using his arms around Steve's neck to pull himself up higher on the next thrust. Hazbin Villain Appreciation Post

People can be so weird about people enjoying villains nowadays, so I think I'm gonna take a little step on the wild side and list some things I like about Hazbin villains whether I like the character or not.

Alastor

Yes, he counts until proven otherwise, but also we're easing into it. Alastor is easy to like for a serial killer. I love a lot about him if I'm honest. Him being a clueless asexual really hits home for me as that was me for about half of my life (and then first crush and hey what's this "demisexual" thing?). But I love how he can be so suave and sophisticated and intimidating while also being an utter goof.

Look at this man. He can be so threatening but he also does this shit. He's so dumb. I love him. Stupid fucking deer man.

It helps that how he interacts with other characters is almost always funny.

He's such a little shit. I love him.

Vox

The performance. Both in his voice and the animation. Christian Borle does some amazing work and it makes a character who is by all metrics incredibly unsettling into being funny and charming. But also some of my favorite moments are just him making funny faces.

His face looking at his hand after Val smashes his phone is one of my favorite little moments in the whole series thus far. The animators do a great job having fun with his dumb head. Vox is great. He's such a dweeb and honestly I can see how his powers are hypnotic in nature.

Valentino

You can't look at Val's design sans the bitchy demeanor and tell me it isn't pretty. Moths are great. And that he chirps/squeaks when he moves is a great touch.

He's also a very compelling villain in that he brings more depth and insight into other characters like Angel. But most of all, Joel's little riffs and just some of Val's lines are so funny.

Angel Dust: I'm coming! Valentino: Not off-camera, you're not!

Valentino: Yeah, I'm here all the time, they know me. You're gorgeous, do you need a job? How many dicks can you suck? Ooh, I could make you a star. Yeah, a star. Porn star. OK, yup, bring me another drink or I'll fucking kill you. I said I'll fucking kill you, and I will.

That the latter dialogue was in the background and how it was delivered? LMAO

Velvette

I love her design. How can you not? And all her different outfits she rotates through?

One of the things I love most about fashion-based characters is how fans run with it. Velvette may not be high up in my character tier list, but about a quarter of the fanart I've saved is her and she has her own designated folder. I'm beyond excited to see more of her if just to see her designs.

Adam

He's designed to be a hateable fuckboy, and they do it well, but it's also Alex Brightman so he gets a few really funny moments in there.

Not to mention Hell is Forever is a fuckin banger. He's horrible in a way that was really fun to watch. Even better was this misogynist pig was taken down by a tiny dainty little lady who can appear as the perfect little housewife type and goes fucking berserk mode for "bad boys". Niffty was really the best person to take him out.

Lute

Not gonna lie, I cannot find a single redeeming quality in Lute. She's only funny when Adam is being funny, she's an uptight unrepentant bitch who mutilated a co-worker for being merciful. I don't like her. That being said, her singing voice? GodDAMN. You Didn't Know blew me away in part because of Jessica Vosk's absolute killer performance. I need a Lute villain song yesterday.

Sera

We have so little of her it's hard to think of things that are unique to her, like wouldn't also apply to Emily like her design both humanoid and angelic. She sings well, but she also didn't blow me out of the water the way Lute did. Though, she does have one of the most intense shots in the show and it leaves a lot of space for interesting conflicted dichotomy in her.

I hope we get a lot more of her to love and hate next season.

TL;DR I like chaluggie bc I’m a dirty angst/drama lover also multishipper also it’s gay and cute and I totally see a working dynamic between the three. Also I’m a sucker for redemption esp for characters like Lute…

Long version:

Some backstory is that I started out in the fandom scene making tiktoks, posting chaggie content mostly. Then one day, as I was going through my sounds, trying to find a good one for chaggie, I stumbled upon a sound where I thought wasn’t quite chaggie. But I still wanted to post chaggie, so I added Lute as the other person. I was like hm… what if… luggie was a thing (since Vaggie is gay and Lute and her had SOME sort of tension going on…) Anyways, it was all fun and games until I was three tiktoks in realizing it in fact was not just a funny HC I have of luggie being exes. I very much ship the two. Toxic yuri ftw.

So I ended up making a sad backstory for Lute and how she would have done anything for Vaggie to survive Adam’s wrath for letting a sinner go… including hurting Vaggie herself. What was the question again? Oh yeah. AT THIS POINT, I have been making this OTHER AU I had we will call it the EX!AU where it’s just Exorcist!Vaggie x Emo!Charlie.

For that story, Charlie had (accidentally) caused Vaggie to fall and ultimately lose her eye and wings. It’s an enemies to lovers angsty story. (I promise this has everything to do with chaluggie) Anyways, in one of the arcs, Lute kidnaps Vaggie to Heaven and while talking about it with my friend, I made Lute secretly a softy with a tough exterior. When Charlie stormed Heaven to take Vaggie back, Lute feigned an injury so they could both get away. Vaggie noticed this and was immediately worried for Lute’s safety. After all, they used to fuck in Heaven. (It’s how they bond)

My friend and I were then talking about making Lute experience the Hell Vaggie had told her so much about and decided to make a spinoff series of the AU where she comes down. Now THIS AU (the spin-off) is the chaluggie AU I have. In the spin-off, we initially just thought it’d be funny to make a threesome scene where Charlie dominates Lute while Vaggie watches, so we had to build an entire story around that because Charlie wouldn’t just cheat… and it’s chaggie.

…and then I got grounded and got left to my brainworms. Chaluggie wasn’t exactly in my brain yet but at this point I really liked chaggie AND luggie and wanted to see more. Then I was like ugh, what if they were just all together? So I wouldn’t have to choose between the two. And that’s also when I drew my first piece of NSFW Charlute art. NOW I WAS REALLY INTO IT and a small part of me wanted to get them in a polycule in the AU but I thought I was just crazy and nobody would enjoy/think the same. Especially not my friend. But oh boy was I wrong.

My FRIEND sent me this fanfic and a few fanart of chaluggie to cheer me up since I now wasn’t allowed to post on tiktok or have social media. (will link in just a second, but I’m very sure for those who like chaluggie they already know I’m talking about “Bratty Bottom Lute”; the fanart was by @cartooncorgii on twitter) I will tell you RIGHT now, MY EYES WERE OPENED. I was like people actually LIKE the ship? Another thing to know about me is that I am definitely a rarepair shipper but I also hate it because I get excited to talk about it but most people don’t understand.

That was when I realized I could ship chaluggie and ALSO get content for it. I was absolutely hooked. What could possibly be better than Lute softening up for the Princess of Hell and her ex-lover, Vaggie? My obsession with Lute might also have a play in this but that’s for another story.

Anyways, much like BBL, what was originally supposed to be straight up corn became an elaborate story and we (my friend and I) are now still working on the chaluggie AU as we speak. I occasionally post things that happen in the AU on my twitter, but it’s mostly personal enjoyment.

It’s a great way to have drama/angst (my two favorite things right alongside fluff and hurt/comfort) I also mentioned above that I am a multishipper. I like shipping everyone with my favorite character which was (and still is) Charlie at this point. Thus, I started to ship charlute (from my AU) and it just kind of went downhill from there ngl. I’ll drop below one of my earliest works of my chaluggie AU. I was rambling to my friend about how Lute and Charlie could totally bond over bands and hair dye. That was also when I realized charlute could have chemistry and now instead of Charlie x Vaggie x Lute, it was just all of them mushed into one gay ass relationship (aka chaluggie)

“It’s sweet,” is what Kojiro has to say about it, because he’s stupid and sentimental. “Everyone’s anxious about having to go their separate ways after we graduate, that’s all.”

“Cheap plastic beads on a string won’t stop people from losing each other,” Kaoru snaps, and makes sure he gets just that bit more air than Kojiro when it’s his turn to do a laserflip.

Kojiro cheers, which does make him feel a little better. But then Kojiro says, “Yeah, yeah, sure. Still nice to imagine that things won’t change, right? That the people important to you now stay important to you forever?”

How many fics have you worked on since January? Fucking hell I actually have to go count. ... 15. That's. A lot.

What’s something new that you tried in a fic this year? I wrote and published my first E-rated fic!

What piece of media inspired you the most? (This can be the fandom you wrote the most for, the one that spawned the most ideas, the one you thought about the most, etc.) Dragon Ball. Published 11 fics this year so far, with another in the works and more ideas waiting.

What ships captured your heart? Vegeta/Bulma from Dragon Ball. Also, to a lesser degree, Krillin&18, also Dragon Ball.

What's left on your to-do list for 2024? Polish the Secret Saiyan work, finish one more chapter for Homeward Bound

What would you like to write next year? I want to finish Homeward Bound, write the sequel, work on PPE, write that Future Gohan-centric fic AND write at least two more oneshots for my 7-year-gap series.

God honestly I'm so glad I dodged HH/HB and my interest in demonology came from Shin Megami Tensei instead, SMT's definitely had its moments writing-wise but god everything I hear about HH/HB is truly against my will

Hazbin isn't very good even as a bit of demon media. Its extremely boring, and uninspired. I feel like maybe it it came out back in like, 2012 or whatever when she first had the idea it'd work better. But at this point 80% of it feels super cliché and boring because everything Viv is doing, has been done better or already done worse. (Mostly thinking about all the boring "the first man is a misogynist" Adam stuff tbh)

There's this manga called MADK that has super good worldbuilding and lore for its version of Hell and how demons work. I absolutely love that manga. However, it drives me absolutely insane lmao that Suzuri Ryo said that he thinks the Hellaverse is like, good?

He even did MADK x Hellaverse artstyle fanart and its to be fair, FUCKING ADORABLE but its so funny that he thinks Viv's vision of Hell is like, good from a artistic standpoint considering his art and his unmatched power. Maybe he just means the pilot, because that looked less ugly. ("it gave me heartburn" is hysterical) But also Google translate so maybe I'm missing some bits.

Anyway, yeah. The pilot was cool, but a lot of what could've been was lost almost immediately after. I'm sad, the pilot was funny and I feel genuinely cheated because the point of a pilot is to be like "hey! here's the vibe, do you like it and want more?" And I said yes, and Viv said "cool let me remove all the parts" and I was left with a series I was tricked into lmao

LUIGI LUIGI IT'S LUIGI FOR THE LOVE OF GOD INGO IS LUIGI IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY.

everyone goes oh yeah ingo = mario and emmet = luigi because ingo and mario are the "older brothers" and emmet and luigi are the "younger brothers" which is so annoying to me because they are duos comprised of TWIN SIBLINGS and mario and luigi are fucking STAR BABIES so how is mario older anyways. and even if they weren't born from magic means and when talking about ingo and emmet just think like no one cares about being born 8 minutes earlier than someone else. you think "oh we share a birthday" not "i'm technically older than you" in a way that actually affects your perception of or relationship with the other person. it will NOT give you an older sibling complex i will literally attack people over this. also it's a separate problem but i swear being denoted "younger brother" is a get out of jail free card for people who love infantalizing these characters

but yeah luigi and ingo are literally united in Had Amnesia In Game Where Major Threat Was Hole In The Sky solidarity. and they're both very talkative (at least depending on iteration but luigi is 1000x more chatty and loud than mario). and they wear darker/cooler colours

one time i saw fanart of the M&L dream team box art with ingo and emmet where emmet was luigi and i had to sit there like remember when emmet said with his mouth that he doesnt like napping

also when it comes to mario and emmet i just think about like how competitive they both are yknow. guys who are eager to compete and like fighting and WINNING and also state their name a lot. i am emmet 🤝 it's-a me, mario!

i also know i have said this before but i swear to god they put the same shit they put into mr. L into ingo's shtick when they were writing pla. like i just think about how ingo unknowingly directly quotes emmet and then says that saying those words fills him with power. and then i think about how mr. L built a robot in the shape of his face and calls it his brother and feels like he's invincible when he's fighting with it. and then i [explosion sfx]

yeah though obviously i wouldnt make any 1:1 comparisons because these are two different sets of characters but if i DID it would be mario -> emmet and luigi -> ingo. 100%. i am extremely adamant about this

What keeps you here (listening to Redacted, slightly engaging with fandom, writing for it)? I don’t mean that in the annoying ‘omg why are you here if you’re gonna complain’ way. As I think it’s heathy for a fandom to discuss what could be better about their fandom space and what works and doesn’t work for them in the media they’re consuming (and even as someone who enjoys 99% of this place, this fandom’s ‘don’t even say that you don’t like a thing’ is unlike any fandom I’ve ever been in, big or small).

I’m asking ‘cause I’ve been listening to Redacted since 2021 and it became a fixation, but recently I feel it fading a lot (I don’t find the narratives as compelling anymore with Quinn and Avior being the recent ones, HBS was just okay even tho nothing quality wise changed to me, even my enjoyment of the podcast has waned (and I listen to a ton of podcasts of all types so that should have been the one thing that stayed lol, but they are inconsistent then come back and talk about Pokémon Go only for 70% of the episode every episode lol so I think that’s what’s not helping).

So what brought you here and what keeps you here now? What do you think will keep you engaging with his work? What do you think will (or could be) what makes you step away (whether abruptly or gradually)? (Sorry for all the questions. I’m curious. Hope you have a lovely day!)

I've been here since very very very early in the channel. Like...... 2020 early. I was getting back into listening to rp asmr after having a small interest in it a few years earlier, and i came across redacted, a lil baby VA. Redacted had some unique qualities in the rp asmr scene, and if we're being honest he still does.

My brain kinda decided to hyperfixate on Redacted, i think because he had plot heavy audios and that wasnt super common in this genre of rp. And in the beginning, the plots were actually decently good in terms of writing and whatnot.

At some point along the way, that fixation became something of a special interest eventually. Probably sometime around early 2022 when i decided to join the discord to finally see some fanart and maybe make friends with people in this fandom. That kinda sent me down the rabbit hole of realizing "oh shit yeah these people have wildly different interpretations of these audios", which started to irritate me in regards to a certain magical therapist and i ended up writing a fanfic about it after being afraid to write for literally most of my life. I got very mixed responses, but some people were really kind and expressed gratitude for my writing and that made me actually want to be a part of this fandom, even if i stay in my own little corner. After that point i started to engage with the content far more critically, and decided that i care about his videos too much to not talk about them and critique them.

I can't really tell you why i stay here, not exactly at least. I think plot-wise the videos have declined in quality greatly, which i started paying attention to. I have been known to enjoy bad media. Like a lot. I watched all of Voltron, all of Vampire Diaries, 13/15 seasons of Supernatural, the Twilight movies, and i fucking enjoyed them. Im just a fan of shit media. Its really fun to critique as well! But like..... I don't think Erik is an all around shit writer, i think he's really good at some things. Character building (the base of a character at least), universe building (for the most part), and the line writing is really good actually, i enjoy them. And i think that he's decent when writing darker content and plotlines, look at the Adam plotline, the Ivan plotline, Imperium AU etc. So i guess the answer is i enjoy critically engaging with it and actively critiquing the art, as well as being attached to the characters and the universe. I have kinda yoinked the characters and they are now my little barbie dolls to play with.

Tbh i ignore most of the fandom bc i just..... simply do not care what people i dont know think about me. I think that majority of this fandom has demonstrated not just a lack of critical thinking skills, comprehension of fandom etiquette, and media comprehension skills, but also a lack of basic human decency and kindness. I do not care what people like that think of me. I know who i am, my loved ones know who i am, and im not gonna let children on the internet stop me from making the art i enjoy.

I take breaks from listening to videos every once in a while (like 2 months at the beginning of this year), but i always end up coming back. I guess im curious as to where this all is going, and i really really do want to see this man get better at writing which..... hasnt happened yet but i guess im patient enough to wait lol. I think he hit a new low recently though. I think the Quinn storyline is the first time that the bad writing actually made me like... angry. Like i was MAD, like shaking laughing in my bed mad. It took me an hour to cool down like what the fuck was that man 😭 If i think about it too hard ill get all riled up again.

I.... don't know what would make me step away tbh. Idk what that would take, but i guess it'd have to be worse than the Quinn arc, which is setting a pretty high bar.

So yeah i think i stay here because i love the characters (or the ideas of them), as well as the universe, and i think writing fics for them is really good practice for me. There's also some very sweet people in this fandom who have been nothing but kind and encouraging to me, and i do not want to let these interactions i have with you guys fizzle out just yet. I may not know yall or directly interact with yall a lot, but i really do love you guys in this little corner of the fandom ive carved out.
